2010 Nomination and Election Procedures and Deadlines

Here are the important dates in MVMA's 2010 election process.

January 7, 2010
Nominating Committee receives list of expiring positions from Executive Director.

January 15, 2010
Nominating Committee report to Board of Directors.

February 12, 2010
Nominating Committee’s Final Slate of Officers and Directors delivered to Executive Director including Bio’s and Photo of each nominee.

February 17, 2010
MVMA Headquarters sends to Webmaster the Nominating Committee’s report and containing the their nominees for open positions and a solicitation for independent nominations.

February 26, 2010
(120 Days from Summer Annual General Membership Meeting)
MVMA Headquarters mails, to the general membership, entitled to vote, and all constituent groups, the Nominating Committee’s report containing the their nominees for open positions and a solicitation for independent nominations.

April 30, 2010
(60 Days from Summer Annual General Membership Meeting)
Deadline for receipt of Independent Nominations.

May 14, 2010
(45 Days from Summer Annual General Membership Meeting)
MVMA Headquarters mails Ballots to membership.

June 1, 2010
(60 Days prior to the start of MVMA’s Fiscal Year)
Deadline for receipt of elected or appointed Delegates & Alternates from Constituent Associations.

June 25, 2010
Deadline for receipt of Ballots from membership.

June 27-29, 2010
Annual Summer General Membership Meeting
