MVF Scholarship Recipients Selected

The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship and Awards Committee has selected the following students to receive the Maryland Veterinary Foundation Scholarships. "Your continued generosity to our students truly touches the future of this profession in a very positive and significant way," says Jacque Pelzer, DVM, director of admissions and student services for VMRCVM and chair of the Scholarships and Awards Committee.

Virginia Tech has implemented new scholarship award policies and procedures that compelled our program to change the timing of the fall award ceremony. All award recipients will now be recognized in the spring each year and VMRCVM will host its first Spring Awards Reception on April 1.

Foundation representatives will have the opportunity to meet with award recipients during the reception. Invitations to the reception will be sent out in February 2011. The morning following the award reception is the VMRCVM Open House and is the only time during the year that the facility is open to the public. Donors will be invited to participate in a private tour of the facility and experience firsthand the life of a veterinary student.
