Kligge Receives MVMA's
2010 Good Doctor Award |

DVM received MVMA's 2010 Good Doctor Award. |
Zaun D. Kligge, DVM has been
selected to receive the 2010 Good Doctor Award in
recognition of his distinguished service, outstanding
leadership, dedicated veterinary medical care and years of
providing compassion and kindness towards his clients,
patients and the community reflecting the meaning of “good
doctor.” Dr. Kligge graduated from the University of
Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. In 2003, he
graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine with a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Kligge currently practices at South Arundel Veterinary
Hospital in Edgewater, Maryland.
While attending the University
of Virginia Dr. Kligge began working at a companion animal |

practice. It was there that he
discovered his fondness for animals and nature as well as
his love of veterinary medicine. Not only was Dr. Kligge
interested in working with all types of animals he also
developed strong interests in internal medicine, cardiology
and radiology. During the latter part of his tenure at the
Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine he
studied ultrasound, which he has since furthered his
knowledge in; amassing 70 hours of continuing education
post-graduation.
Dr. Kligge has been described as competent, conscientious,
concerned and compassionate. He is known to speak from the
heart, empathizing with patients’ thoughts and feelings. He
is said to personify these characteristics and makes every
effort to go above and beyond the typical expectations of a
veterinarian.
Dr. Kligge grew up outside of Newburg, Pennsylvania and
currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife,
daughter and their pets, a dog named Cody and two cats
Fergus and Cricket.
The Maryland Veterinary Medical Association is committed to
a leading role in the advancement of the science and art of
veterinary medicine throughout Maryland. MVMA allows for
veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians and
veterinary students to come together and share ideas to
further their professional and personal development.
